MƒA LA hosts an annual poker tournament that brings friends, supporters, and champions of the organization together for an evening of community and friendly competition. It is one of the best ways to experience the MƒA LA spirit firsthand while directly supporting our Fellows.

MƒA LA operates at the intersection of teacher retention, instructional excellence, and student achievement. For nearly 20 years, we have built and refined a model that produces real results that are rare in education:
The investment case is straightforward. Teacher turnover costs districts millions of dollars every year, depletes school departments, and falls hardest on students who most need consistency. MƒA LA interrupts that cycle by providing a holistic support system, including a $15,000 annual salary supplement, funded in-school collaboration time, and support for National Board Certification. The program combats teacher isolation and demoralization that drive high turnover.
